The BB ALPHA is a bottom bracket engineered to outlast your frame, featuring hardened stainless-steel races hand-built with grade-3 Silicon Nitride ceramic balls. Custom-engineered seals and precision dust covers deliver up to 500% better moisture protection while maintaining ultra-low friction performance. Hardened stainless steel races offer exceptional corrosion protection and provide an optimal surface for the hand-built ceramic balls. The internal ball bearing race has been redesigned to provide additional support, allowing the bearing to better handle pre-load. Custom-made light contact seals with stainless steel backing strike the perfect balance between efficiency and protection while delivering CeramicSpeed's trademark low-friction performance. The bearings have been moved further out in the cup, allowing the stiff POM plastic dust covers to sit flush with the outer edge, making it increasingly difficult for debris to penetrate and contaminate the bearing. The simplified spacer tube design and lighter 7075 aluminum cups ensure quick installation and a 10% weight reduction over previous generations.
