Details

Bontrager's R3 TLR Road tires blend race-ready weights with the improved traction, comfort and reliability of tubeless tires. Changing flats will be a thing of the past with the tough Hardcase Lite puncture protection and overall lack of tubes in a tubeless system. A light, supple casing provides low-rolling resistance and excellent cornering traction.

Bontrager's Tubeless Ready Rim Strip and Valve.Tubeless Ready tires are compatible with both tubeless-ready and standard rims. When used with rim strips, valves and sealant (sold separately), the tire and rim form an airtight chamber, allowing the tire to be inflated without a tube. This lets you run lower pressure for optimum comfort and control without fear of pinch flats. When used with a standard rim, the tire can be mounted and inflated with a tube.

The high thread-per-inch casing let this tire conform to the road/trail for superior cornering and comfort.

    Comments:

Over 3000 miles and counting. No flats yet. Tires were noticeably losing air 10 months after sealant had been put in. Added about 0.8 oz to each tire and I have only pumped them up twice since doing that. Amazing performance too. Was riding on wet slick pavement and bike started to slide on a turn, but I didn't fall. Was thinking of going back to clinchers since I haven't learned how to install these myself and videos and instructions sound intimidating, but I'm so happy with how everyone else is getting flats and I'm not, so I'm ordering a new set.

      Comments:

Put these on my new Project One built bike. My concern about traction, unfounded! recommended by reputable bike shop, bike builder and some long time competitive cyclists. First time to ride a tire with this type of a tread, will never go back now! So far, AWESOME!! Use these on Bontrager RLX wheels. They are lighter than I anticipated, ride is smooth, comfortable, reliable, responsive, and hold the road good..on tight turns, and traction is excellent on wet roads, holds well when riding over roads with spills of sand, loose gravel.. Have been caught in few rainstorms, very reliable on wet pavement, through puddled water. I ride alot of well used paved roads (bumpy, worn payment, not smooth, gravelly in some areas), have just over 1000 miles on this set, have not had a flat (my first summer without a flat!), wear is limited, tires holding up very well. Used as both road cycling and some racing.I am very pleased so far, would purchase again.
