TREK BICYCLE STORE OF ESTERO SUNDAY MORNINGS

WHEN: This ride leaves the parking lot at 7:30am.

PRE-RIDE INSTRUCTIONS
Please arrive at 7:15am in the Trek Estero parking lot to prepare your bicycles and have a chance to meet up with your fellow cyclists.  We also conduct a short informative talk on safety and ride instructions.

DESCRIPTION

ALL GROUPS (A&B) remain together for the first 10 miles at a maximum speed of 22mph.

At the turn into the airport, the A GROUP riders will pick up the pace and continue to the finish of the ride without stopping. B GROUP riders are welcome to ride with the A GROUP as long as possible. We will go over the terminal at the airport, this is a neutral zone with the speeds below 15mph and a chance to gather together. B GROUP riders will meet at the stop light after the terminal before finishing the ride.

C GROUP - 15-18 MPH (There is not always a C GROUP, so please mention to the ride leaders at the start of the ride)
The ride will be a modified Airport Loop ride and will be approximately 26 miles. Before you begin your ride, your ride leader will go over riding basics so newcomers will feel comfortable and learn.  This is a "no drop" ride, so you will not be left behind.

B GROUP - 20-22 MPH
The ride will be a modified airport course which will be approximately 36 miles. For this ride you should feel confident with being in a paceline with other riders.  Some riders split at the halfway point and form a "B+" pace.  Feel free to ask questions along the way about group riding and cycling.

A GROUP - Unlimited MPH
The ride will be a modified airport course which will be approximately 36 miles. For this ride you should feel confident with being in a paceline with other riders and able to ride at high speeds of 26-32mph. Taking your turn at the front of the group is required in order to maintain a smooth, consistent, and safe high speed ride.

FOR YOUR SAFETY

Aerobars are welcome, but we ask that they be used only when you are in the front of the group or way off the back.  In a questionable situation where the cyclists are a little scattered, it is recommended to not be in the aerobars until a group forms or you are completely on your own.
