Marc Lubin

/ Founders

Email: owner@trekbikesflorida.com
Joseph and Jane Du Bois have worked over 30 years in the bicycle industry, while Marc Lubin has been a successful entrepreneur for 25 years. He has owned and run businesses throughout the east coast. Together they started the company in December of 2006.

Their first store is located at Coconut Point Mall in Estero, Florida. The Estero store was such a smashing success that it set them up for the opening of the second location in March of 2008. The site they chose was in Naples, Florida. This store opened right before the 2009 recession. During this period, the team focused their efforts around one poignant question: how can we accomplish more, with less?

This led them to streamline many areas of the business so that when the decline began to reverse itself, the business was stronger then ever. Working with Trek Corporate, the decision was made to expand their operations onto the east coast of Florida. The third store debuted in November of 2011 in beautiful Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

The goal from day one has always been to create a world-class company for both the customers and the team staff members.

Joseph Du Bois has said “our goal is to create an environment that brings out the best in you. Whether it’s one of our customers that are looking to get into cycling or an employee looking to grow personally, we want to be there to support and empower them.”

Steve I was born. I am still alive. I am from Earth, though some might dispute this.

I have an intense interest in art in general, and photography in particular. I am an accomplished photographer and enjoy taking photos of just about anything in my off time, from landscapes around Naples to wild and unique portraits (as evidenced in my bio pic), to abstract patterns and architecture.

Anytime I can be creative I am happy. Other passions include Hockey (Let's Go Rangers!), football (I bleed Silver and Black--you can guess the team) and music (The Doors and Tool in particular) That's all folks!

While in the northwest, he was the regions best mountain bike racer and one of the top ranked professionals in the nation. Mark then moved himself and his family across the country to experience the sunshine and beaches and humidity and rain of Southwest Florida.

When he arrived, there was only one location in Estero. A few short months after settling into Florida, Mark moved to the Naples location and was there for about 3 1/2 years as Service Manager, Lead Fitter, and Sales Consultant. During that time, Mark chose to finish a college degree that had been started in Seattle, and attended and graduated from Southwest Florida College with honors and an Associates Degree in Digital Design. He then left Trek for a short period and pursued his dream and did graphic design with a few different companies.

Then in June of 2012, Mark was re-hired at the Trek Bicycle Store to be their Digital Designer. Now, Mark is responsible for the design and maintenance of the company website, including all graphics, animation, ecommerce, and UI development.
